Cord Jefferson, director of the Oscar-nominated film “American Fiction,” also announced his departure from Instagram, stating his preference for platforms like Tumblr. “Tech oligarchs bear responsibility for the increasingly toxic nature of online spaces,” he remarked, highlighting the broader dissatisfaction with Meta’s leadership.

Stanford law professor Mark Lemley, who previously represented Meta, announced he would no longer work with the company but would maintain his connections on Facebook. “It doesn’t seem fair to lose valuable relationships because of these decisions,” he explained.
